Position: Administrative and Events Assistant
Reports to: President, & Director of Development
Responsibilities
Events:
Oversee and manage the planning and logistics for conferences and events across the U.S.
Identify and correspond with vendors for events
Identify event spaces fr potential NAS events
Work with NAS staff to invite speakers, attendees, press, and sponsors for events
Administrative:
Schedule calls and meetings
Assisting with the drafting and editing f letters and articles
Organizing physical news clippings
Collaborate with NAS staff on projects as needed
Qualifications
Desire to further NAS’s mission to improve higher education
Highly organized
Attentive to detail
Familiar with event planning and logistics
Professional in correspondence
Takes initiative
Creative
Strong writing and editing ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

The position will pay in the $40,000 range, with competitive benefits and insurance.
This position is for a one year term, from January 2020 through December 2020. There is a possibility for the position to become permanent, dependent on NAS’s needs.
